The cap has a steel green wool top with a wine red cap band and piping. The wool shows wear to the nap, surface soiling, and a few small holes. The front of the cap band displays a Bavarian cockade, while the cap is lacking the national colors cockade. The interior of the cap shows wear, with the lining of the crown bearing the large name and crest of a Nuremberg retailer.
