The leather body of the helmet shows age and some crazing, but the helmet is in overall very good polish and it makes a very good appearance. The brass wappen Prussian front plate and fittings show wear to the finish, verdigris, and uncleaned patina. Both the national colors and the Prussian colors rosettes are present. The helmet bears a reproduction chin strap. The metal mortarboard component of the helmet shows some scuffs, but the finish is largely intact, including the cloth cockade. The full interior liner is present, with some scuffs to the lower edge. Overall very good condition.
