The exterior wool body and cap band show surface dust but they are without holes or damage and the cap is generally quite clean. The front displays a national colors officer cockade as well as a Prussian Landswehr officer cockade. The visor surface exhibits typical age crazing. The interior leather sweatband is present, with period re-stitching in the rear of the sweatband. The cap band section is slightly misshapen, but overall the cap is in very good to excellent service used condition.
