The bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 11 inches. The ricasso is marked on one side with “Demag” (for Deutsche Maschinefabrik A-G ) and “Duisburg”, while the opposite side of the ricasso is marked “Gesetzlich” and “Geschutzt”. The blade shows spots and areas of pitting. the grip exhibits wear to the finish. There is some paint loss at the base of the scabbard.
