The cutlass has an overall length of approximately 19-1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 13 inches. The blade is plated and triple etched, with hunting and animal motifs on both sides and a floral design on the spine. The blade shows some spots of surface rust as well as surface grime, but the etched designs are clear. The red felt washer is in place at the top of the blade. The brass clam shell guard, the ferrule, and the pommel cap all show a dark and uncleaned patina. The horn grip similarly has a fine dark age finish and it is without chips or cracks. There is no scabbard.
