The overall length of the sword in the scabbard is approximately 33 inches, with a blade length of approximately 26 inches. The blade is generally bright, showing smudges, and a few small spots of disturbance to the plating, but without nicks, chips or active rust. The leather washer is in place at the top of the blade. The scabbard exhibits scuffs, age cracks, and chips, but it is complete and intact. The gilt finish on the scabbard fittings and on the sword handle, guard, and back strap all display wear as well as a toned patina. The ray skin grip is intact, as is its wire wrapping. The reverse of the sword guard folds down and locks in place. Overall very good condition.
