The half liter pottery stein is approximately 5-1/4 inches, exclusive of the thumb lift. The base is retailer marked and manufacturer marked by the firm of Villeroy & Boch with the “Mettlach” designation. The stein shows surface grime and typical age crackling of the glaze, but the stein is without chips or cracks and in overall very good condition. The lid exhibits an uncleaned patina.
