The half liter pottery stein is approximately 5 inches tall, exclusive of the thumb lift. The stein bears a portrait of Von Hindenburg and the statement “Wie sich auch mag die zeit gestalten…Wir werden treu zusammen halten” (“Whatever shape time may take… We will stick together faithfully”). The lid bears a relief design of a 1914 Iron Cross. The stein is in excellent condition, without chips or cracks.
