The dark blue wool belted overcoat carries the shoulder boards of an Ensign of the Japanese Navy. The interior has a sewn label bearing the name of the officer who owned the coat. All buttons are intact. One shoulder board has a broken fastening clip at the end, but the shoulder board remains secure on the coat. The coat shows wear, dust, and spots, with some small holes and wear to the cuff of one sleeve, but overall the coat makes a very good appearance.
