Botkin – who served as Secretary of State for the state of Kansas in the early 1900s. Here is what he said about Mound City and its relationship to the Sugar Mound:“[Mound City] nestles close under the shelter of Sugar Mound, which extends in the form of a crescent around the east and south sides of the town. Beautiful wooded hills are to be seen in every direction, with fertile valleys and winding streams between. On those hills grow thousands of hard and sugar maple trees. He who has not visited this quaint old town in the fall of the year after the frost has kissed the leaves of these sugar trees, causing them to blush as with maiden modesty, has not seen the real beauty spot of Kansas.”Kindness Shirts With or Without Sleeve IconSugar Mound Kindness Network Shirts ENLARGE IMAGEThe Sugar Mound Kindness Network T-Shirts are available in our store (with or without the SMKN icon on the right sleeve). The branding for both kindness shirt versions is applied with DTG printing. Embroidery and Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing are distinct methods for branding apparel, where each technique comes with its own unique characteristics and aesthetics. Embroidery uses threads to create raised, textured graphics, while DTG prints a special type of ink directly onto the fabric.DTG printing allows quite a bit more flexibility than embroidery since you can print about anything with any level of detail. Embroidery, on the other hand, needs to follow a more strict set of rules. A good logo should be versatile enough to use either technique however, since DTG is not always available for certain products like hats and fleece jackets. We think the best way to produce shirts is with a white logo, since that can be applied to almost any colored shirt (as long as the shirt color is sufficiently dark enough to provide some contrast with the brand).SUGAR MOUND KINDNESS NETWORK T-SHIRTSFacebook Page Header MockupWe also worked up a new mockup showing what a Facebook page header would look like for the Sugar Mound Kindness Network. It doesn’t have 4.2K followers yet (that was wishful thinking on our part), but we’re hoping it will gather a good following once it gets going. We used the SMKN acronym for the profile image since we needed an icon that would read well at the smaller sizes used by Facebook, and it reminds us of a radio or TV network handle. Could there be a radio broadcast or a video podcast channel associated with this network? We think that would be a great way to go with it! Sugar Mound Kindness Network Facebook Page ENLARGE IMAGESMKN Printable PDFSMKN Printable PDF ENLARGE IMAGEAnd last but not least… no branding campaign is ever complete without a print component! So we created this on a letter sized document (which is simple to run through any standard inkjet printer), and the QR-Code will go right to this page for ordering t-shirts. Other formats can be created as well — for anything from postcard to poster sizes. The great thing about a printed counterpart is that it gets your brand out in public places, where no digital equipment is necessary for someone to see it or find it. There are only so many ways to share links online, and a new brand isn’t something that anyone would be searching for. But out in a public place, they’re just as likely to see your new brand as they would be to see other well known brands. People aren’t usually carrying computers around, but they are carrying cell phones and most of them are familiar with scanning QR-Codes.We’re providing a link below to a press quality pdf. So everyone in our group will have access to it — in case they want to print it themselves and make it available in a new location.SMKN PRINTABLE PDFMore Products Coming Soon:We use a Print on Demand service and they have many other product options available.
